I hope this tiny blurb of a review helped some of you. It is very similar and I picked it up as soon as I made the connection back to good ol' Stonkeep. I would tell but I don't want to ruin it or give away any tricks :PĪnyways, I would highly recommend this download to anyone who enjoys the classics, if you want a more current, similar experience (though not as fun imo) go look up 'Legend of Grimrock' on steam. Nothing game breaking or terrible enough to ruin an experience but just enough to make note of.

The last star is missing only because of a couple minor things I don't really care for. Stonekeep is a dungeon-crawling role-playing game with real-time combat. The classic games of our (my? I'm not that old though) youth where they weren't just catered to the whiny sissys of todays online gaming communities who cry because somethings too OP. Drake must avenge his past, and find a way to liberate the benevolent gods of the realm.

The game play is fun and challenging, it has some puzzles and traps to solve and a lot of encounters you have to think about rather than charging in to murder everyone without a second thought. You start in the towers and move your way through each level collecting armor and weapons along with interesting new friends (Wahooka the Great inspired my goblin priests WoW name, if only there was a 'the Great' title to achieve smh). The game has a pretty decent story, you are Drake and you have to return to the castle of your childhood to route out an evil that has overtaken it (very rough description, it's been a while). Seriously made an account to write about this game so read this and go forth to play.Ī basic hack and slash dungeon crawler with your classic arrow 90 degree turns, this was my first true gaming experience as a kid and I'll treasure it forever.
